(IDAHO FALLS) – Higher salaries are prompting some Idaho teachers to take jobs in Wyoming. Gary Dustin, who worked as a teacher at Rigby Junior High recently transferred to Star Valley High School in Afton – nearly doubling his salary to $57,000 a year. Bonneville School District officials say they try to lure in new teachers by focusing on recreation and lifestyle opportunities in eastern Idaho, but admit that competing with Wyoming is becoming more of a challenge.
