Idaho Ranks Last in Breast Cancer Screenings
Published at(POCATELLO) – A new report released by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare shows that Idaho ranks last when it comes to women getting screened for breast cancer. One third of Idaho women over the age of 40 haven’t been screened in the last two years. That’s alarming local health officials who caution that those who wait too long are taking unnecessary risks. Only 64 percent of Idaho women were screened, far below the national average of 76 percent.
