No Motive Yet in University Murder-Suicide

(MOSCOW) – Authorities continue to search for a motive behind the death of a 22-year-old University of Idaho grad student. Police issued an arrest warrant for 31-year-old Ernesto Bustamante shortly after the Monday shooting, only to find that the suspect had committed suicide on Tuesday. The former assistant professor of psychology unexpectedly resigned from his position last Friday and is believed to have had a previous relationship with his victim, Katy Benoit. School officials have declined to comment on why Bustamante resigned.
