Emergency Landing In The Middle Of The Snake River

(BLACKFOOT) – A mid-flight emergency forced a plane to land on a gravel bar in the middle of the Snake River Friday. The plane took off from the Blackfoot airport and hit a bird with the propeller. The pilot turned the power off and glided down to a gravel bar. Pilot Joel Milloway was able to replace the propeller and take off safely, thanks to the help of sheriff’s deputies who assisted him with a boat. Milloway says he’s happy everything turned out okay.
