Backpacks Weighed at ISU
Published at(POCATELLO) – Occupational therapists at Idaho State University are warning students about the dangers of lugging around heavily-loaded backpacks. KIDK reports that some students brought in backpacks weighing 30 to 40 pounds. Experts say students shouldn’t carry around anything in the backpacks weighing more than 10 percent of their body weight. Student occupational therapists plan to visit local schools in the next few months to see how much kids are carrying around.
