(BOISE) – The Idaho Department of Labor made millions of dollars in improper unemployment payments to beneficiaries over a three year period. According to an audit conducted by the federal government, a total of $82 million in improper payments were made during a three-year period that ended June 30. In total, that’s about 9 percent of the state’s payments. Idaho has until Sept. 30 to submit a new plan on how to curb more improper payments.
