Trooper Uses PIT Maneuver to Stop Driver on I-15

(IDAHO FALLS) – An Idaho Falls man was hospitalized Sunday afternoon following a high-speed chase with Idaho State Police. Local News 8 reports that 51-year-old Tracy Nii may have had a medical condition the led to him driving erratically along I-15 south of Idaho Falls. Officials say they used spike strips in an attempt to slow Nii’s vehicle down. Eventually troopers were able to use the PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle near the Sunnyside exit. The case is still under investigation.
