Twin Falls Man Charged with Kidnapping Following Hostage Standoff

(TWIN FALLS) – Twin Falls County prosecutors have charged a man on accusations of kidnapping, grand theft, and assault following a hostage standoff over the weekend. 35-year-old Edward Hanes has a preliminary hearing scheduled for next month. Police say Hanes took a gun from a former employer, went to his ex-girlfriend’s apartment, and held her hostage. Hanes is being held on a $150,000 bond.
