Hoku to Get Second Access Route

(POCATELLO) – Hoku’s plant in Pocatello is getting a second entrance. Many residents were concerned that traffic coming in and out of the plant was making nearby roads too congested. Officials say the new entrance will go across Union Pacific property at Philbin Road. Local News 8 reports that the city’s fire code requires large facilities like Hoku to have at least two entrances. The new route will not require a bridge to be built over the railroad tracks.
