Christmas Gift Arrives — One Year Late
Published at(WINTER BEACH, Fla.) — The old saying “better late than never” applies to a Christmas gift Mary Beth Mauldin of Arkansas sent to her mother in Winter Beach, Florida. Mauldin sent a box containing a flannel nightgown and a gift card on December 10, 2010, but it didn’t arrive at her mother’s post office box until last Friday, according to TCPalm.com.
It’s not exactly clear why it took so long for the package to reach its destination. Mauldin’s mother, Mary Lou Shelton, says she was told by the post office that the package only recently arrived there. She says she laughed when she finally got her hands on the box.
