Los Angeles Scrambles to Extinguish More Arson Fires

Hemera Technologies/Thinkstock(LOS ANGELES) — Los Angeles fire crews responded to another ten arsons early Saturday morning in the North Hollywood area, according to KABC-TV.

The fires are just the latest in over 20 that were set in the Hollywood area Friday morning. The first fires started around 12:30 a.m. Friday, mainly targetting vehicles. Some of the blazes spread to adjacent buildings.

The Los Angeles Police Department was placed on tactical alert Saturday, KABC reports. While there have been no serious injuries reported, the arsons are racking up hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage.

Anyone with information that leads to arrests for the arsons will receive a $60,000 reward.
