St. Anthony to Require Business License

(ST. ANTHONY) – Starting next year, the city of St. Anthony will require all businesses to purchase a business license. City officials say the lack of regulation opened the way for transient door-to-door salespeople, who they believe pose a threat to the safety of the community. Standard business licenses will cost $10 per year. Door-to-door retailers must pay a $250 fee, which will pay for a background check.
