Urban Meyer Won’t Attend Gator Bowl

Jamie Sabau/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — In an interview on The Dan Patrick Show on Thursday new Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer said he would not be in attendance during the Buckeyes game against Florida in the Gator Bowl on Jan. 2.
“Out of respect to [interim head coach Luke Fickell] and everything involved, I want him to coach and do a great job and finish the season,” Meyer said on the show.
Fickell will become Meyer’s defensive coordinator next year.
