Deadly Tornado Outbreak Wreaks Havoc across Parts of Southeast

File photo. (iStockPhoto/Thinkstock)(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) – Two people have been confirmed killed after overnight storms including at least 22 reported tornadoes caused severe damage across Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee.

The worst damage was reported in Oak Grove, Ala., south of Birmingham, and in Clay, Ala., to Birmingham’s north, where two people were killed.

More tornadoes are possible Monday from Atlanta, to southern and central Alabama, down to New Orleans. Golf ball-sized hail is possible, forecasts say, along with winds nearing 80 mph.
