Elway: “Tebow has earned right to start”

Jeff Gross/Getty Images(ENGLEWOOD, Colo) — Denver Broncos’ Vice President of Football Operations John Elway let everyone around the NFL know that it will still be ‘Tebow Time’ at least through training camp.
Elway and Broncos’ head coach John Fox addressed the media at the season-ending press conference on Monday.
Both Fox and Elway fielded 24 of 47 questions surrounding Tim Tebow.
“Tim’s earned the right to be the starting quarterback going into training camp next year,” said Elway. “He made some good strides this year. He obviously played well against Pittsburgh and played very well in a lot of football games. He’s earned the right to be the starter going into training camp next year.”
As for the rest of the team, who backed into the playoffs and then shocked the Steelers in the wild card round, head coach John Fox told them that they should take a nice long break and promised them to do whatever it takes to win the ‘big boy’ championship and not just the AFC West championship.
