Gleason Gets Four Year Extension with the Hurricanes

Gregg Forwerck/NHLI via Getty Images(RALEIGH, NC) — The Carolina Hurricanes agreed to a four year contract extension with defenseman Tim Gleason Monday.
The deal will pay Gleason $3.5 million for the 2012-13 season, $4.5 million for the 2013-14 season and $3.5 million for the 2014-15 season.
The 29 year old defenseman, is in his sixth season with Carolina. This year, he leads all team defensemen with 87 hits and has contributed one goal and 13 assists.
