Kim Kardashian: Marriage Was a ‘Bad Business Decision’

Don Arnold/WireImage(NEW YORK) — Kim Kardashian was Kelly Ripa’s co-host on Live! with Kelly Monday morning, and the reality show starlet didn’t shy away from questions about her divorce from Kris Humphries after 72 days of marriage.
A public backlash centered on the fact that the whole $10 million event — which was rumored to net the couple millions thanks to E! special airings — seemed like a sham.
“I really didn’t think following my heart would lead to this much backlash,” Kardashian admitted.
She explained if the wedding was a business decision, it was a bad one. Apparently, it tarnished the Kardashian brand — as evidenced by recent stories of ratings drop-offs for anything to do with the reality show clan.
“Me being such a hopeless romantic I wanted to believe in something so badly,” Kardashian said. “If this was a business decision, and I really made all that money that everyone was claiming that we made off this wedding…I’m a smart businesswoman. I would have stayed married longer. This was a bad business decision.”
