Landry Jones to Stay at Oklahoma
Published at(NORMAN)– Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones announced Thursday he will return for his senior season in Norman.
“I want to accomplish the goals that I set before I got here, and there is still a lot more to do,” Jones said. “I want to make sure I’ve exhausted every effort in that area. And I want to be a senior. I enjoy being at OU and with my teammates and look forward to graduating with the guys that were in my class when I got here.”
Jones will return following a disappointing season. The Sooners entered the season with the #1 ranking in the USA Today coaches’ poll. They were a popular pick to win it all, but ended the year 9-3, before beating Iowa in the Insight Bowl.
Jones heads into his senior season as Oklahoma’s all-time leading passer.
