Latest ‘Twilight’ Film Set to Become Highest-Grossing in Series

Andrew Cooper© 2011 Summit Entertainment, LLC(LOS ANGELES) — The most recent Twilight sequel is set to become the highest-grossing film in the series to date.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, distributor Summit Entertainment and parent company Lionsgate say The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 has earned $701.3 million worldwide, just $8.5 million shy of the total earned by 2009’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 raked in $280 million in the U.S.
The fifth and final film in the series, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2, is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 16.
