Nick Cannon Recovering from Kidney Failure

Kevin Mazur/WireImage(ASPEN, Colo.) — Nick Cannon is in an Aspen, Colo., hospital, recuperating from what wife Mariah Carey said via Twitter was “mild kidney failure.”
Carey also uploaded a picture of herself laying on his hospital bed, both to her website and on Twitter, saying her 31-year-old husband is “fighting” and urging fans to pray for him.
“[R]ole reversal,” the singer posted on her website. “Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are. We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful.” They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am [on] de bed with Mr. C.”
Mariah continued, “…I know, we could be in a lot worse places, but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK. I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us. So please keep us and our family in your prayers.”
Mariah later told People magazine that Cannon is stable but in a lot of pain. She said, “We are hopeful that he’ll be 100 percent as soon as possible.”
Cannon tweeted Wednesday afternoon that he was being transferred to a hospital in Los Angeles. He continued, “Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern. You know me…I will be a’ight.”
