The Clippers got 27 points from their new guard Chris Paul and beat the Heat in overtime, 95-89.  With the loss, Miami dropped back-to-back overtime games on the road, they had an opportunities to win both.

“It’s a good team we just beat,” said Paul with ESPN after the game.  “It’s a really good win for our team.”

Despite 23 points and 13 rebounds from LeBron James, even he couldn’t close the game out down the stretch at the foul line.

“We played Miami Heat basketball, we defended, gave ourself a chance to win,” said James.  “We don’t like to lose but we aren’t going to hang our heads by this one.”

Clippers forward Blake Griffin contributed 20 points and 12 rebounds in the win.
