Saint quarterback Drew Brees had another terrific game, passing for 466 yards (regulation playoff game record) while also tossing three touchdowns. Running back Pierre Thomas led the team with 66 rushing yards while also adding a touchdown. Detroit led at the half 14-10, but the rest of the game belonged to New Orleans as they out scored Detroit 35-14 after halftime.

“We were pulling out all the stops,” Brees said following the game.”We play aggressive. We’re not going to apologize for that. That gives guys in the huddle a lot of confidence. We’re not going to pull the reins back. It’s pedal to the medal.”

The Saints will go on to face the San Francisco 49ers next week.
