Streeter Lecka/Getty Images(CHAPEL HILL, NC) — North Carolina junior guard Dexter Strickland will miss the rest of the season with a torn right ACL.

Strickland injured himself during the second half of UNC’s victory over Virginia Tech Thursday.

Strickland started all 19 games for the Tarheels this season. Sophomore Reggie Bullock or Freshman P.J. Hairston are expected to take Strickland’s minutes.

Strickland was averaging 7.5 points a game and was tied for the team lead in steals with 25.
