Miami Heat/NBA(MIAMI) — Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade has a sprained right ankle, and the team is unsure of his timetable before he gets back on the court.
Wade injured his ankle during the fourth quarter of the Heats loss to the Denver Nuggets, Friday night. He hurt himself chasing a loose ball and fell awkwardly twisting his ankle on the way down.
X-rays were negative, and Wade could be back for Tuesday nights game versus the Spurs, but the Heat are preparing as if he won’t be back.
Wade told reporters that he hadn’t felt this kind of pain from a sprain ever.
Since last season, when the Heat signed LeBron James and Chris Bosh, Miami is 7-2 with Wade out of the lineup.
