Wilson to an already strong roster, outfielder/designated hitter Bobby Abreu wants to play fulltime or not be a part of the Angels organization anymore.

Last season, Abreu started in 142 games, hitting .253 with eight homers, 60 RBIs, and 21 stolen bases. He still feels that even after 16 major league seasons, he should be still be getting significant playing time. If that doesn’t happen on the Angels, the he wants to be traded.

“If the Angels don’t have a position for me, then the best thing is to trade me,” Abreu told ESPNdeportesLosAngeles.com. “It would be the correct (thing) to do. I won’t be able to do nothing sitting on the bench.”

As of right now, the Angels already have a crowded outfield with Vernon Wells, Torii Hunter, and Peter Bourjos. Also in the Angels’ corner is Mike Trout, who is considered the best minor league positional player and who made his major league debut last season.
