Four Children Die in Rochester Apartment Fire
(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) — Four people died from a fire that ravaged an apartment building in Rochester on Saturday.
Officials say they were called to a trash fire outside the building at 1 a.m. but when they arrived a flash fire started on the first floor of the building and quickly spread to the second floor.
Firefighters rescued a woman and her infant but were unable to save four children who were trapped on the second floor because of the fast moving flames.
The Rochester Fire Department is investigating.
