“Oh God, a day’s not long enough, a day’s not long enough. … I would go into furniture [stores], I would go shopping.  I’d go to the museums.  I’d go to movies.  I would go to dinner.  I would you know, everything that you could squeeze into a day,” the 43-year-old actress told Lara Spencer.

Not that she can’t go shopping or go to the movies now, but “you just deal with that sort of little nuisance,” she said.

“I’ve gotten to a place where I know we can — we know how to maneuver around them a little bit more… I’ve laid on many a floorboard,” she said.

Aniston, who divorced actor Brad Pitt in 2005, is no stranger to life in the public eye, but she has kept her relationship with 40-year-old Justin Theroux very private.

The couple was rumored to have met and started dating on the set of her upcoming film, Wanderlust.

“Nothing happened on that movie.  I mean, that was sort of — that’s what is a rumor,” she said. “I mean, it’s again, it’s the easy rumor.  But nothing happened.  We were just friends, great friends, on the movie.”

“I’ve known Justin for a long time…we met when he was shooting Tropic Thunder,” said Aniston.

“He is really cute,” she said.

In her latest movie, Wanderlust, she and Paul Rudd play a married couple who give up their high profile careers to live in a hippie commune.

The pair hasn’t acted together since Friends seven years ago, and before that in 1998, for The Object of My Affection.

Aniston compares working with Rudd to being with an old friend: “I mean, he’s just the easiest person, the most fun.  He’s so funny and sweet and excited.  And you know, he’s just a great guy.  He’s a great guy.  And he is a great partner.  And he really was fun; it’s always fun to work with him. ”

The film, set in northern Georgia, provided a paparazzi escape for the highly photographed star.

“The main thing that was so refreshing for me was being in Clarksville, Georgia, which was so far in the middle of nowhere … There’s sort of a parallel experience happened between what happened with my character in the movie and with me in life, which was just sort of like all of your, you know, your guards fell away.  You felt this, like, weight off of your shoulders of constantly, like, being on guard or looking over your shoulder or ‘What’s that over there?’ or ‘Who has a cell phone?’”

She described the feeling of walking freely without “that anxiousness of somebody about to just charge you.”

When she’s not filming movies, Aniston says she cherishes her time with friends and loved ones.

“The perfect night out would be, I don’t know, a great dinner with friends,” she said. “I love dinner with a group of friends or a dinner with your partner and a movie.  I love that.”

Girls’ night out, which used to be a weekly thing for her and her friends, consists of dancing at parties or for birthdays and weekly dinners.

“We used to go to a Mexican restaurant every week, which was great,” she said.

Of being known as a good friend, Aniston said, “It’s very important to me.  And that’s one of the highest compliments.”
