Randy Moss Gets an Offer to Play Football — for the IFL
Published at(NEW YORK) — Since the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League signed wide receiver Terrell Owens to a contract, the Chicago Slaughter decided to offer a contract to another former All-Pro NFL wide receiver: Randy Moss.
Moss recently let it be known that he is seeking a return to the NFL after sitting out the 2011 season. IFL players make only $300 per game, but Owens was given a compenstation package that included an ownership stake in the team.
“Seeing the splash that T.O. made going to the Allen, Texas, team, it would be a coup for us to get Randy,” Slaughter head coach Steve McMichael told ESPN.com. “And it’s only a 50-yard field, baby. It’s not like he has to run all over creation. It’s like playing half-court basketball.”
