Peter G. Aiken/Getty Images(PITTSBURGH) — The Pittsburgh Steelers are on the verge of hiring former Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley as their new offensive coordinator, according to ESPN.

The 45-year-old Haley was fired by the Chiefs back in December after going 5-8. During his two-plus seasons in Kansas City, he compiled a record of 19-26, leading them to the AFC West division title in 2010.

The Steelers hope Haley will be able to turn around an offense that had trouble scoring last season, finishing 21st in points scored.
