Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer said this week a film permit for the spin-off was denied due to, “public safety and quality of life concerns.”  But Farley argues that she and Polizzi would have made positive contributions to the city.

Appearing with Polizzi on a New York City radio show Wednesday morning, Farley said, “It’s their loss. We’re just trying to help the economy in Jersey and we’re trying to bring profit to it.  What’s wrong with that?”

Polizzi isn’t taking the Hoboken snub personally.  She said, “I love Hoboken.  No hate.  Maybe [Zimmer] just doesn’t like our tans, I don’t know.”

After the city’s decision was made public, Zimmer told ABC News Radio she didn’t, “want people coming and destroying — hootin’ and hollerin’ in the middle of the night, and destroying our city.”

Farley said Wednesday that she and Polizzi didn’t even know Hoboken was a potential filming location for their spin-off until Zimmer issued her statement.
