The Simpsons Airs its 500th Episode

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — The Simpsons will air its 500th episode on Sunday night.
Wikileaks founder Julian Assange’s voice will make a guest appearance in the show. The show’s producers say though Assange’s appearance maybe controversial, his part will be satirical and not address his legal issues, reports the Guardian.
The Simpsons debuted in 1987 as animated short for The Tracey Ullman Show and eventually became a 30-minute series in 1989.
