Police in Methuen, Mass., a suburb of Boston, said the man, 26, was standing inside the White Eagle Pantry convenience store around 9 p.m. Wednesday when a pickup truck suddenly crashed through the store’s front window.

Video of the incident captured by the store’s surveillance camera shows the man walking up to the store’s front counter just as the truck smashes through.  Two other people were standing at the counter but escaped the crash without injury.

The injured man was taken out of the store by paramedics and transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

Witnesses told police the truck appeared to be pulling into a parking spot but then suddenly accelerated forward, right into the store.

Methuen police have opened an investigation into the official cause of the crash; they have yet to release the name of the 43-year-old driver.
