Yankees Sign Russell Branyan To Minor League Deal
Published at(NEW YORK) — Infielder Russell Branyan has signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees. The deal includes an invite to spring training, where Branyan will compete for a big league job.
The 36-year-old split time between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Los Angeles Angels last season, batting .197 with five home runs and 14 RBIs in 127 at-bats.
In 2009, Branyan walloped 31 homers for the Seattle Mariners.
