AMC’s “The Killing” Returns Sunday Night
Published at(NEW YORK) — One week after AMC aired the long-awaited return of Mad Men, the cable network will premiere a new season of another one of its popular dramas on Sunday.
The Killing begins its second season with a two-hour episode beginning 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. If you’re unfamiliar with the show, it revolves around the murder of a teenage girl, Rosie Larsen, in Seattle.
There are three storylines at play as the series progresses, all related to the murder case. They focus on Rosie’s family, the detectives investigating the case, and a group of politicians involved in a mayoral race.
Some fans were upset after the conclusion of the first season because they hadn’t learned who killed Rosie — the murderer’s identity won’t be revealed until the end of the new season.
Star Mireille Enos, who plays lead detective Sarah Linden, tells ABC News Radio she was caught off-guard by the uproar, saying, “It didn’t cross my mind. Once the Rosie case is solved, a lot of these people go away, and you never get to spend time with them again. So I was very, very surprised.”
