Boston Celtics/NBA(NEW YORK) — The Boston Celtics are looking for a team to take on their guard Rajon Rondo, according to ESPN NBA Insider Chris Broussard.

The Celtics’ feel that their fourth leading scorer on the team, who was also part of the 2008 Championship team is too high-maintenance and his clashes with coach Doc Rivers are not helping his cause.

“This really comes down to the question of can Rondo be the centerpiece of a championship team,” WEEI play by play man Sean Grande told ESPN. “Can you build around him or is he a player that needs a specific kind of team around him to win a championship, which we know he can do like he did in 2008?”

But with the organization feeling they are no longer title contenders, sources say they do not want to build around Rondo.

The NBA trading deadline is March 15.
