The 37-year-old British TV personality has been with The Discovery Channel since 2006, when Man vs. Wild premiered.

“Due to a continuing contractual dispute with Bear Grylls, Discovery has terminated all current productions with him,” a Discovery spokesperson told ABC News.

Grylls was fired after he refused to participate in two unannounced projects he was contracted for, sources told The Hollywood Reporter.

Grylls has been filmed crossing piranha-infested rivers, stranded in the deadly swamps of the Florida Everglades, paragliding onto the edge of the Andes to follow rivers into the Ecuadorean jungle and demonstrating how to make a snow cave, find water in deep tunnels and avoid frostbite in Iceland’s arctic environment.

Grylls’ representative could not be reached for comment.
