(BOISE) – Idaho Power Co. is asking the Idaho Public Utilities Commission to raise power rates for residential customers.  The plan would increase monthly bills by an average of $3.56, in an effort to pay for a new natural gas power plant that’s nearly completed.  The state is not expected to make a decision until the public can comment on the proposal in the next few weeks.
