Kendrys Morales Recovering from Broken Ankle

Major League Baseball(TEMPE, ARIZ.) — Los Angeles Angels first baseman Kendrys Morales is close to playing in his first major league game since breaking his left ankle when he jumped on home plate celebrating a walk-off home run, in May 2010.
On Sunday, Morales ran the bases and reported no pain afterwards. Angels Manager Mike Scioscia said Morales could be ready for Opening Day.
Morales, 28, hit .306 with 34 homers and 108 runs batted in during his last full season in 2009.
Morales is expected to serve primarily as a DH when he returns.
