(SALT LAKE CITY, Utah) – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is fighting back against saboteurs and others attempting to submit the names of Jewish Holocaust victims for temple work. The church now has a firewall on its massive genealogical database prohibiting the submission of Jewish names for rituals including proxy baptisms. Mormons believe it allows deceased people a way into the afterlife – if they choose to accept it. The system also blocks anyone who repeatedly attempts to access the records of Holocaust victims.
