(SALT LAKE CITY) – In response to a firestorm of media attention over the posthumous baptism of Holocaust victims, officials from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are appealing to members to stop the practice.  In a statement released late last week President Thomas S. Monson told members to only submit names of relatives, not names from unauthorized groups including Jewish Holocaust victims, celebrities and other figures.  Monson said those in violation will face disciplinary action.
