Man Gets Prison for Rexburg Bank Robbery

(REXBURG) – A Montana man will face prison time after robbing the Rexburg Zion’s Bank two years ago. 34-year-old John Green was given a five year fixed sentence with 15 years intermediate. Green’s defense said their client couldn’t remember committing the crime due to mental health problems. Green held up the bank in January of 2010, taking an undisclosed amount of cash and then fleeing on foot. Prosecutors say they hope Green will take advantage of mental health programs readily available in the prison system.
