New Nuclear Cleanup Facility at INL
Published at(IDAHO FALLS) – A one-of-a-kind facility has sprung up at the Idaho National Laboratory. The Idaho Clean Up Project’s new Integrated Waste Treatment Unit will help with efforts to protect the Snake River Aquifer. The facility will process all 900,000 gallons of liquid radioactive waste remaining at the site and should start next month. The project is expected to be completed by December of this year.
