Stenhouse Jr. Wins NASCAR Nationwide Vegas Race

Jerry Markland/Getty Images for NASCAR(LAS VEGAS) — NASCAR Nationwide driver Rick Stenhouse Jr. took home the checkered flag in Saturday night’s running of the Sam’s Town 300 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The defending series champion edged Mark Martin for victory lane by nearly six seconds, leading the final 54 laps of the race.

With the win, Stenhouse becomes the first non-Sprint Cup driver to win a Nationwide race on the mile-and-a-half oval.

Other notables include Danica Patrick finishing in 12th, while Kyle Busch came home in 33rd place.
