(NEW ORLEANS, LA)   NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell handed down very strict disciplinary actions against New Orleans Saints’ Coaches and Front Office staff in the wake of the Bounty-Gate issue.  Where several Defensive players were apparently a part of a series of bounties put in place by former Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams to put opposing players out of the game.   Head Coach Sean Payton is suspended for the season, and Williams, who had moved on to coach with the St. Louis Rams, has been thrust into outer darkness by the Commish.  He can apply for reinstatement after the upcoming season, and Goodell will consider it.   Joining Tim Lewis on Idaho’s Morning News Friday to talk about the long-reaching ramifications, is John Phillips.  Phillips is an NFL agent and well-known attorney.   This is a major defining moment in the NFL.
