Anne Hathaway Showcases Shorter Locks

Jim Spellman/WireImage(LONDON) — Anne Hathaway’s new role in Les Miserables has apparently gone to her head. The actress, who plays Fantine, a woman who sells her hair and her body to feed her kids, was spotted coming out of a London club early Sunday morning wearing the closely-shorn hair she’ll apparently sport on screen in the musical adaptation of the Broadway hit.
The UK Mirror reported last month that Hathaway previously went on a “crash diet” to convincingly portray her character on her deathbed. Her rep denied the report.
The adaptation, which also stars Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe, is scheduled to open on Dec. 14.
