After having his first goal in overtime overturned because he kicked the puck in the net, he waited a few minutes and then scored for real, giving the Philadelphia Flyers a 4-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils, in Game 1 of their Second Round playoff series.

Briere also scored in the second period and now has 106 points in 104 playoff games played.

“I grew up watching playoff when I was a kid,” Briere said. “I always dreamed that one day I’d have the chance to play in those big games. You try to make the best of it and try to enjoy it as much as possible. So it’s not really pressure it’s actually a fun time.”

New Jersey will get it’s chance to even the series Tuesday, when the puck drops at 7:30 PM ET in Philadelphia.
