D-Backs Place OF Chris Young On 15-Day D-L

Jason Wise/MLB Photos via Getty Images(PHOENIX) — The Arizona Diamondbacks placed outfielder Chris Young on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday, a day after he injured his right shoulder crashing into the center field wall, making a catch in a loss to Pittsburgh.
In 11 games this season, Young is batting .410 with five home runs and 13 RBIs.
To fill Young’s spot on the roster, the D-Backs called up infielder Cody Ransom from Triple-A Reno. During his stint in the minors, Ransom was hitting .294 with two homers.
