Mayo scored 22 points in the win for the Grizzlies but his three with 17 seconds left to give his team a 94-88 win over the Thunder.

“It was a good look. I had my feet set,” Mayo said. “I just wanted to knock it down.”

Coming into Monday’s game, the Thunder (40-13) had won all three previous games this season.

“It’s always like this,” said Kevin Durant who scored 21 in the loss. “This is our fourth time playing these guys. It’s tough to beat a team four times in a row. They came out and made plays and you’ve got to give credit to those guys. They played hard.”

The Grizzlies (29-22) are now fifth in the Western Conference.
