Havlat Propels Sharks to 3-2 Double OT Victory Over Blues
Published at(SAINT LOUIS) — The San Jose Sharks must be happy Martin Havlat is healthy. After missing more than half the season with a hamstring injury, Havlat scored two of the Sharks three goals including the game winner in double overtime as the Sharks beat the St. Louis Blues 3-2, in game one of their best of seven playoff series.
“Just trying to enjoy the time in the playoffs,” Havlat said. “Just trying to do my best and help my team. I think everybody else is trying to do the same thing.”
The Sharks trailed late in the third period 2-1 when Andrew Desjardins scored the tying goal.
Patrick Berglund scored two goals for the Blues.
The two teams square off again Saturday in St. Louis at 7:30 PM ET.
