About 400 people showed up to the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Altadena to honor Kendrec “Mac” McDade, who was shot on March 24. The FBI announced on Friday that it would open a civil rights investigation into the case. McDade’s family has already filed a wrongful death and civil rights complaint against the city, and The American Civil Liberties Union and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People have expressed concerns about the shooting.

The officers involved in the shooting were identified as Mathew Griffin and Jeff Newlen.
